Getting to the garage is a bit hard right now. This happens every time we start a remodeling project!
In round one of the remodeling, we took out the wall between the living room and one of the bedrooms and made one big room.
And here is the new large living room from the other direction.
And another view of the living room. We are still working out how we want to use this space.
We share the small bedroom as our office.
The master bath was already nicely re-done.
The kitchen is great. We added these cabinets.

What we see from the kitchen window during the remodels.
Kathleen is gardening as much as possible, even during construction. Most of these plants smell wonderful.
Dave's birthday flamingo is enjoying the flowers.
The excavation begins!
The stairs in the distance were once attached to the porch from which the picture is taken.
The Bobcat rests after it's first day on the job.
The pile of dirt has started. It gets bigger.
A closer look at the stairs. We plan to re-purpose them as part of the back yard landscaping.
And the dirt pile grows.
This will eventually be hallway under the breezeway that will separate the new bedroom from the house.
A sight we came to enjoy from the media room.
Excavation takes a while.
Piles of rebar and foundation forms.
Quiet in the early morning.

We are going to have some work to do landscaping our yard when this is done.

Foundation forms are in!
This represents a whole lot of hard work.

We became very fond of "Bob."
"Bob" getting ready to go on to the next job.
Under all those tarps is the framing for our new bedroom!
Our next door neighbor, John Zimmerman, was also fond of "Bob."
Even with all the construction activity, Kathleen keeps making the yard prettier and prettier. And the scents are great!
Framing has started!
Lots of lumber out there.
The floor as it appears on the 3rd day of June.
The floor is appearing. It's really stout - did we tell them we keep elephants as pets?
We have stairs to the basement!
June 4, 2014. We have a floor!
Standing on the floor, looking back toward the house.
